Advanced patient positioning techniques enable MR-HIFU therapy
On treatment day the patient presented with small bowel directly in the beam path. This case demonstrates techniques that were utilized to gain a clear acoustic path to successfully treat a large uterine fibroid. A single layer sonication strategy was utilized for rapid volumetric therapy.

GnRH agonist pre-treatment before MR-HIFU fibroid treatment
Patient presented with a sizable submucosal fibroid with regions of hypervascularity. This case demonstrates the utility of GnRH analog treatment prior to HIFU therapy to reduce fibroid size and depth. Advanced positioning techniques were also used.

MR-HIFU Therapy of 12.3 diameter subserosal Type 1 uterine fibroid
Patient with single large fibroid desiring non-surgical solution. Volumetric ablation with MR-HIFU enabled large volume fibroid therapy (88.5% treated) in under 3.5 hours MR room time.
